Ernst & Young LLP recognized with two Rising Stars of the Profession Awards by Consulting Magazine

NEW YORK, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP announced that Anthony Carmello, Partner in the firm's Advisory Services Risk practice and Anthony Swanson, Senior Manager in the firm's Advisory Services Customer practice have been named winners of Consulting magazine's new award "Rising Stars of the Profession," which recognizes outstanding talent under the age of 35. Carmello was selected in the Leadership category and Swanson was selected in the Strategy Consulting category.

Carmello and Swanson were among over 200 nominees considered by Consulting magazine. Carmello was nominated by Jay Layman, the firm's Americas Advisory Risk Leader. Swanson was nominated by Kristen Vennum who was honored by the publication as one of the Women Leaders in Consulting in 2009.

Carmello specializes in evaluating business processes, IT environments and operations to assist companies in managing risk, improving performance and enabling change. His commitment to EY, the success and satisfaction of his clients and dedication to the growth and development of his team members are just a few factors that led to Anthony's promotion to Partner of Ernst & Young LLP in 2013.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, he worked for a worldwide growth strategy and capital advisory company focused on market entry, product launches, mergers and acquisitions.

Carmello holds CPA and CISA certifications, is a graduate of Miami University and resides in Chicago, Illinois. Swanson is a graduate of Northwestern University and also resides in Chicago.
