Ernst & Young LLP Announces Expansion of Its US M&A and Capital & Debt Advisory Business, Naming James W. Carter as CEO of Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC
NEW YORK, March 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernst & Young LLP's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) has announced the expansion of its US M&A and Capital & Debt Advisory business, which provides sector-specific advice on transaction strategies, buy- and sell-side M&A execution, and private capital raising. The US M&A and Capital & Debt Advisory team helps corporations and private equity firms improve their competitive position through Ernst & Young LLP's affiliated registered broker-dealer, Ernst & Young Capital Advisors.

James W. Carter is now President and CEO of Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC. Carter has more than 25 years of investment banking and financial advisory experience, focused on automotive and industrial industry transactions. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was a Managing Director at Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc.
Jeffrey Liu, Principal and Senior Managing Director, is the US Technology Sector Leader for Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC, and brings 15 years of corporate finance and M&A experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Liu was a Managing Director in Global Technology Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Mike McNamara, Principal and Senior Managing Director, is the US Real Estate Sector Leader for Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC. McNamara brings more than 19 years of expertise as a real estate investment banker, lender, investor, and advisor in the European, Middle Eastern, Indian, African and North American markets across a variety of different industries. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was with RBS as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division and Head of Real Estate Products.
Ronald Montalbano, Principal and Senior Managing Director, is the US Oil & Gas Sector Leader for Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC. Montalbano brings 19 years of investment banking experience advising energy companies on M&A and public and private capital markets strategies. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was a Managing Director at Stephens Inc. and a Partner and Managing Director for Energy Capital Solutions.
Gregory Park, Principal and Senior Managing Director, is the US Healthcare Sector Leader for Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC, and brings 22 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience in the healthcare sector.
