Ernst & Young is hosting a celebration to recognize the achievements of past and current entrepreneurs and the impact their contributions have had on the state's economy and their local communities.

Governor Mitch Daniels, Inside Indiana Business Host Gerry Dick, serial entrepreneur Scott Jones and
Ernst & Young Global Chairman and CEO Jim Turley, will take the stage and:

  • Recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs
  • Bring awareness to the role entrepreneurs play in driving economic growth
  • Highlight the actions that the private sector, entrepreneurs and government are taking to sustain Indiana's strong legacy of entrepreneurship

Background:
The Entrepreneur Of The Year program was founded 25 years ago in Milwaukee, Wis. In Indiana, the first program was held a year later in 1987. Since then, more than 280 Indiana business leaders have been recognized as Entrepreneur Of The Year award winners. Notable past winners include Patricia Miller and Barbara Baekgaard, Vera Bradley Designs; Jeffrey Smulyan, Emmis Communications; Scott Dorsey, Exact Target; Eugene Glick, Gene B. Glick and Co.; and Michael Evans, AIT Laboratories. A number of previous award winners are expected to be in attendance.
