Eric Chin Joins Crosslink Capital
'The Alpha Club' Founder to Focus on Internet, Software and Tech Startups
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Crosslink Capital, a stage-independent venture capital and growth equity firm, today announced that Eric Chin has joined as Partner. Chin was most recently a General Partner at Bay Partners. At Crosslink, Chin will focus on Internet, Software and Technology startups, investing in early stage and later stage companies.
Chin began his venture capital career in 1993 at Highland Capital Partners. He then co-founded Internet server software company WebSpective in 1996 (acquired by Inktomi), and TelASIC in 2002 (a Raytheon spinout, acquired by Microelectronics Technology, Inc).

As a partner at Artiman Ventures until 2005, Chin sourced and funded InvenSense in 2003, a leader in motion processing, MEMS gyroscope, and motion processing technologies for consumer electronics. The company filed for IPO in June. At Bay Partners, he seeded Dropcam (which makes video surveillance accessible anytime, anywhere), and funded Plastic Jungle (a marketplace for gift cards) and Interact911 (public safety and incidence response software).
Chin is also co-founder and president of The Alpha Club, a networking club for more than 400 Founders, CEOs and VPs of Internet companies (http://thealphaclub.wordpress.com/). He earned his B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
