NEW YORK, May 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Investopedia, the premier online source of trusted financial information and services, was ranked among the top ten most visited websites by financial advisors, according to Erdos & Morgan's Financial Advisor Media Outlook and Usage Study (FAMOUS).
The Erdos & Morgan survey reviews digital media websites and their relevance for financial services professionals. The results from 2016 show that over the last two years, Investopedia's advisor audience has grown 42 percent. Investopedia is one of the fastest growing sites, ranking ahead of brands such as MarketWatch, Barron's, CNN Money, The New York Times and Bloomberg BusinessWeek.
"Today's fast-moving and increasingly complex markets means advisors need solid news and ideas. This is why Investopedia is committed to providing advisors with both sophisticated insight and better connections to investors," said David Siegel, CEO of Investopedia. "We welcome advisors' feedback on how we can continue to make Investopedia a leading destination for content as it's their ongoing partnership that has made us the success we are today."
According to the study, which reviewed over 30 websites, two-thirds of financial advisors visiting Investopedia found it most useful for their work. Investopedia credits this growth to the launch of its Advisor Insights platform, connecting its 27 million monthly users with leading financial experts.
"As the industry has evolved, Investopedia has transformed from a financial dictionary to an interactive financial content destination," added Siegel. "We launched Advisor Insights as a place for advisors to reach and educate those in need of financial guidance. Advisors are able to connect with potential clients by answering questions. Rewarding advisors for contributing has resulted in dramatic growth in this audience."
