Equmen Salutes the Josh Bidwell Foundation

SYDNEY, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Giving back to the community is a responsibility we all share. That's why Equmen was a major sponsor of the 2011 Josh Bidwell Celebrity Golf Classic.

The Josh Bidwell Celebrity Golf Classic distributed funds raised to charities including Community Cancer Centre; Young Life; Roseburg Junior Academy; Camp Millenium; the Umpqua Valley Boys and Girls Club; Roseburg Youth Soccer Association; Umpqua Tennis Facility Project; eight high schools; Roseburg Cal Ripken baseball club; Special Olympics and the Roseburg Legion baseball field house project.

Dennis Dietrich from the Josh Bidwell Foundation thanked volunteers and sponsors for their support of the event.

"I hope everyone had an absolutely fantastic time this year. The event was a huge success and because of all of you, we will give even more funds to the community this year," Dennis says.

Some big names in the NFL threw their weight of support behind the charity day with the aim of raising money for cancer treatment, youth athletics and youth service organisations. Tony Hargain; Joe Newton; Jordan Ken; Mark Jones; Steve Baack are just a few players from the NFL who participated along with Marshall Holman from the PBA and Darrall Imhoff and Scott Haskin from the NBA.
