Equashield Enters Taiwan Following Expansion to Australia, Japan, China

Equashield (http://www.equashield.com ), a leading provider of Closed System Transfer  Devices (CSTD) for hazardous drugs, announced today a new exclusive partnership with Taiwanese distributor MedFront Medical Technology Corporation.  Equashield's leading CSTD has been submitted to regulatory bodies in Taiwan, China and other countries for approval as the company continues to expand globally, and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Registration of medical devices in Taiwan takes approximately one year. The Taiwan FDA of the Ministry of Health and Welfare will evaluate the EQUASHIELD^® system. Upon receiving this registration, Equashield will be cleared for distribution in the Taiwan market. The company has also recently applied to receive CFDA (China Food and Drug Administration) approval. Its devices will be made available to Chinese hospitals and clinics upon receiving clearance by the end of 2015).

In particular, Equashield is defined in the FDA labeling as preventing microbial ingress for up to seven days.
