DALLAS, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Epic Health Services Inc., a portfolio company of Webster Capital and Dallas-based provider of pediatric skilled private duty nursing, therapy, developmental, enteral and respiratory services, announced today that it has acquired Firstaff Nursing Services. Based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Firstaff provides adult home health care and nursing services throughout Greater Philadelphia, and also offers medical staffing services.
Epic has had a presence in Pennsylvania and has grown organically since 2012. Over the last two years, Epic strengthened its presence in the state with the acquisition of Loving Care Agency, Clarity Service Group and a portion of ResCare—all companies with operations in Pennsylvania. The acquisition will double Epic's current market share in Pennsylvania.
"The addition of Firstaff to our Epic family will strengthen and densify our position in eastern Pennsylvania, making Epic a leading provider of adult home health care services in the state," said Chris Roussos, Epic president and CEO.
Operating from its single location in Bala Cynwyd, Firstaff has a team of 300 nurses and caregivers who provide care to more than 200 patients.
"Our focus over the last 19 years has been to provide outstanding care to our community," said Firstaff founder Gary Epstein. "Now, with the backing of Epic, we feel we can serve even more patients and continue to deliver on that mission."
