EPIC appoints Connie Rowe as Business Development Executive for McDonald's Franchisee Programs
Risk Management Veteran Adds New Business Sales Role
SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, announces today that Connie Rowe has been appointed vice president and business development executive in the firm's San Ramon-based Programs Group. Rowe is an experienced risk management professional with 25 years of client-focused service. In this new role, she will expand her support of EPIC's highly successful insurance programs for McDonald's owners and operators to include new business development responsibilities.
Over her career, Rowe has specialized in claims management, safety program development and workers' compensation cost control. Her extensive background in relationship management, business operations, loss prevention and claims management have made her a knowledgeable and effective resource for McDonald's restaurant operators.
Prior to joining the EPIC Programs Group in 2005, Rowe held a range of risk management and insurance positions for both employers and insurance companies. One of these roles was as a claims examiner on the J.R. Simplot Company self-insurance program. She was also responsible for overseeing injury and illness prevention and the management of multi-state self-insurance and high deductible programs for Sanmina-SCI.
A Certified Professional Disability Manager (CPDM), Rowe also developed Sanmina-SCI's Integrated Disability Management Program. This program fully integrated the management of state and federal leaves, the ADA and workers' compensation temporary disability.
For more than seven years, Rowe has worked closely with McDonald's franchise owners in a collaborative risk management and loss control role that has provided her with a unique "insider's view" of the challenges they face. Her knowledge of practical opportunities to strengthen insurance protection, reduce the cost of risk and streamline and simplify program administration have helped to free store operators to focus on increasing sales and profits.
"In many ways, the growth, strength and stability of our McDonald's 'Preferred Operator Group' speak for themselves," stated Rowe. "We serve a highly satisfied group of operators, both large and small, who benefit equally from our consulting expertise and value added services. I'm very excited to be leading the expansion of this success and value to other McDonald's operators in California and across the country."
An active supporter of many charitable and community service organizations, Rowe is particularly committed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
