Epic American Journey Spans the Nation in Seven Days
An ambitious road trip gets off the ground with help from some Tipsy Elves.
SAN DIEGO, June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 10th, 2015, four guys in an SUV will begin a grand adventure — a road trip that takes them through all 50 states in the U.S. in just one week. This heroic American journey marks the first known time that such a feat has been attempted and documented. The team will document the trip on video so the whole world can go along for the ride!

How Did This Ambitious Expedition Start?
Nate Williams, Brian Mehrens, Josh Willis, and Chris Watson are four regular American guys with a thirst for once-in-a-lifetime experiences. They've been taking outrageous road trips together for 15 years. This year they went all out, planning an ambitious 50 states trip to celebrate the USA. When the group turned to Tipsy Elves for assistance, the company jumped on board immediately, decking out the guys in 100% Americana and helping make this dream come true.
Going for the Record: 50 States in 7 Days
Nick Morton, co-founder of Tipsy Elves, says the company was inspired by the enthusiasm of the team. "At Tipsy Elves, we love pushing boundaries, so we were really excited about this idea. We wanted to help give it that extra push to create a record-breaking experience that encompassed all 50 states in 7 days." This specialty apparel company has partnered with the intrepid road trippers to make 50States7Days a reality. The team will start in Maine for a drive through the lower 48 and then fly to Hawaii and Alaska to sample the entire United States.
Why undertake such a daunting endeavor? Josh Willis has a simple explanation. "People ask us, 'Why are you doing this? Are you crazy?!' and I say, 'Yes—crazy in love with America!'" Compatriot Chris Watson added, "We've always wanted to visit all 50 states. When partnering with Tipsy Elves allowed us to do it all in one action-packed week, we jumped at the opportunity!"
A Week-Long Look at America the Beautiful
Professional videographer Brian Mehrens will capture the 13,000 mile trip on video using KODAK PIXPRO SP360 action cameras to create a time-lapse video unlike anything ever seen before. But fans don't have to wait for the final release to enjoy the excursion. The team will share generously via social media throughout the trip. Followers can use #50states7days and @50states7days to keep up with the latest or post their own photos of the team's decked-out SUV driving through town.
