Epi-Search, A Free Academic Resource, Lets Researchers Enter Up to 10,000 Words of Text and, Using a dtSearch® Engine API, Find "More Like This" Across the ISCE Library

"We then invoke the dtSearch Engine to query for 'more like this' across the library's SQL metadata and the full-text of the books themselves," adds Mr. Wiesenberg.  "The dtSearch Engine already offers natural language vector-space analysis, including an option for differential ranking of SQL metadata versus full-text content, so this part was easy."  Finally, Epi-Search takes the parsed query and lets users automatically submit it to other library sites.
