EPA Awards Potential $24.5 Million Contract to CSRA
CSRA Continues 40 Year Legacy Supporting EPA Engineering and Analytics
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded a Scientific and Technical Support (STS) contract to SRA International Inc., a subsidiary of CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA) to assist the EPA Office of Water (OW) Engineering and Analysis Division and other organizations with similar needs. The contract holds a potential value of $24.5 million over 5 years.

EPA's Engineering and Analysis Division is responsible for issuing regulations concerning effluent guidelines and publishing analytical methods under the Clean Water Act. Under this contract, CSRA will support the EPA with the following:
- Study design and implementation
- Development and validation of laboratory methods for the analysis of environmental samples
- Rulemaking and regulatory implementation support
- Quality assurance
- Data management
- Training, and other outreach
The STS contract follows a recently-expired contract that provided similar services. CSRA has held all predecessor versions of this contract.
CSRA provides support to the EPA via 20+ prime mission and IT contracts and independent task orders. These include recent awards to support the EPA's High Performance Computing ($58 million over five years) Infrastructure, ($266 million over five years), and the EPA's ITS-BISS III (potential $115 million Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity).
