EOS Climate Wins Top Government, Environmental Media Honors

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EOS Climate, the market leader in delivering verified emission reductions from destruction of ozone depleting substances (ODS), has won the 2011 Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award (GEELA), California's highest and most prestigious environmental honor.

The GEELA program, administered by the Governor's Office, California EPA and other state agencies, recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable contributions in conserving California's natural resources, protecting the environment, building public-private partnerships and strengthening the State's economy.

In other honors this month, EOS Climate was voted Best Offset Originator North American Markets (California) and Runner-up, Best Project Developer North American Markets, in Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance 12th Annual Market Survey.  It is the closest watched survey of leading participants in the carbon, US emissions, weather risk management and renewable energy certificate market.
