EOIR Wins Military Sensing Symposium Task Order
FREDERICKSBURG, Va., Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EOIR Technologies, Inc. was named prime contractor of the Military Sensing Symposium (MSS) task order under the Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor (WEBS) prime contract.
The MSS conference series is the only classified, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restricted environment for discussing military sensing. In this forum, industry, academia, Government, and their North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) counterparts can openly discuss the military sensing technology arena and its developments in a protected environment. The MSS forum pushes the state-of-the-art in military sensing and is critical to maintaining the DoD's superiority in military sensing.
EOIR, along with subcontractor Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), will administer the CERDEC NVESD MSS conferences as a collaborative Government-Industry activity for the benefit of the military sensing community, and will support the overall operation of the MSS meeting system.
Dr. Joe Mackin, CEO of EOIR, made the announcement. "The MSS conferences are an invaluable resource to the sensing community," said Dr. Mackin. "As a company with more than 30 years in this industry and a deep commitment to advancing sensor technologies, EOIR looks forward to continuing to support NVESD through the MSS conferences."
