Envision Solar Announces Selection by the Alameda County Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee
Solar Tree® Structure To Create An Iconic Entrance To The New IBEW Training Center
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Envision Solar International, Inc., ("Envision Solar")(OTCBB: EVSI), a leading sustainable infrastructure product designer and developer, today announced that the company's iconic Solar Tree® structure with EnvisionTrak™, Envision's proprietary tracking solution, has been selected to be placed at the entrance to the new NECA IBEW Local 595 training center. This 46,000 square foot facility, located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, will be home for over 2000 IBEW apprentice and journey level electricians along with NECA contractors that cover Alameda County and beyond.
Byron Benton, Training Director of the NECA- IBEW Electrical Training Center in San Leandro, California said, "People will know the moment they first visit our new facility that IBEW and NECA are at the forefront of training and installing the newest electrical energy efficient systems that are vital to the future of our country. The fact that Envision Solar's products are designed and built in America provides an opportunity to put Americans back to work in new and vital energy industries. Growing our electrical infrastructure and adding increasing amounts of American owned renewable sources spells energy security and job security. This Solar Tree® structure will be a very visible embodiment of IBEW-NECA's commitment to both."
Envision Solar's President and CEO, Desmond Wheatley, said, "We are proud to have been selected by this very discerning group. Our Solar Tree® structure will be the first thing that the next generation of electrical contractors see each day as they arrive at the training center. These are the people who will install America's new energy infrastructure, they are key to our energy future and we are very happy that they will have experienced our unique contribution to that future in such an intimate way. We certainly look forward to doing many more such deployments with them in the future and are thrilled to be entering the San Francisco Bay regional market in this way. It's a region which we expect will deliver significant growth for us in the future."
