Entry Deadline for First MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB™ TV Game Show Drawing is Nov. 25
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Lottery is reminding players of the Nov. 25 entry deadline for the first drawing to be selected to travel to Las Vegas for the new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB™ TV Game Show.
Each MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB Lottery game ticket features a unique TV Game Show Entry Webcode that players may enter via the VIP Players Club at palottery.com. Players build MONOPOLY-themed Property Sets to earn entries into the game show drawing.
Drawing winners will receive a five-day, four-night trip for two to Las Vegas to join the show's studio audience. Some audience members will be chosen at random to compete on the show to win prizes of up to $1 million.
"We're very excited to see Pennsylvania Lottery players are embracing this new multi-state game and entering their ticket codes online for the chance to be part of the new game show," said Lottery Executive Director Sil Lutkewitte.
Winners of the first game show trip package will be drawn on Dec. 2, with the trip taking place from Jan. 8 to Jan. 12, 2015. The game show will debut on television in mid-February.
Launched Oct. 19, MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB is a $5 draw game designed to spread the wealth among players by offering multiple million-dollar prizes in conjunction with a Top Prize of $15 million to $25 million. Drawings are held each Friday night.
Players can win the Top Prize; become one of the many, randomly-selected $1 million winners when another player wins the Top Prize; or register a ticket online for a chance to appear on the nationally televised game show.
How to Play: Players pay $5 and select five numbers from a pool of 52, choosing their own numbers or using the "quick pick" option to have their numbers randomly generated. A Property Number from 1 to 28, which corresponds to a Property on the MONOPOLY game board, is automatically generated by the terminal. To win the Top Prize, the player must match all five numbers drawn plus the Property Number. The odds of winning the Top Prize are approximately 1 in 73 million. There are also nine other ways to win in each drawing, with prizes ranging from $5 (for matching two of the first five numbers) up to $100,000 (for matching the first five numbers).
The Millionaires' Club Drawing: Whenever the Top Prize is won, it immediately triggers a separate Millionaires' Club drawing for at least 10 prizes of $1 million. Each ticket includes a unique Millionaires' Club number. If a player's Millionaires' Club number is selected, that player wins one of the $1 million prizes being awarded that week. If the Top Prize is not won, it will continue to increase in value until it reaches $25 million. For as long as no one wins the Top Prize, the number of $1 million prizes available grows until someone wins the Top Prize. Winning Millionaires' Club numbers are published online at www.palottery.com.
TV Game Show: Each MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB Lottery game ticket carries a code that players can enter online for a chance to appear on the nationally televised game show. Winners will receive a five-day, four-night trip for two to Las Vegas to join the show's studio audience, some of whom will be selected at random to compete on the show. Contestants will play a series of MONOPOLY-themed games offering cash and other prizes valued up to $100,000. One player on each episode will get a shot at winning $1 million. Submit codes via the VIP Players Club at www.palottery.com prior to claiming a prize.
