Entrepreneur, Humorist, and Diplomat partner with Rotary International to promote peace
World Peace Conference to take place in the city of peace, love, and understanding
SAN FRANCISCO, April 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rotary International District 5150 is hosting a world peace conference featuring an entrepreneur, humorist, and diplomat to promote personal peace, peace in local communities, and peace worldwide at the San Francisco Peace Conference on April 30-May 1, 2016, at the Hotel Kabuki. The Hotel Kabuki is located at 1625 Post Street, San Francisco. Running concurrently with the conference is a House of Friendship that will be open to the public for free. The conference is also open to the public and tickets and information are available at www.sfpeacecon.org.
This special conference brings us three illustrious keynote speakers who are committed to the development of a more peaceful world:
Joan Barnes – the entrepreneur – is founder of two consumer companies: Gymboree and YogaStudio, as well as a speaker and author who will offer her newest book at the San Francisco Peace Conference: Play It Forward – From Gymboree to the Yoga Mat and Beyond.
Michael Pritchard – the humorist – began his career on both the comedy stage and as a juvenile counselor in San Francisco's Youth Guidance Center. He is especially known for his work in promoting nonviolence with youth and he will speak Saturday evening about peace in our local communities.
Ramu Damodaran – the diplomat – is a native of India. Currently serving as Deputy Director for the United Nations Department of Public Information.
