Entrepreneur and CultureIQ® Release Inaugural Top Company Cultures List Honoring High-Performing Cultures
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Businesses of every size, industry and lifespan chase after one success metric that boosts performance and morale: a brag-worthy company culture. To honor the companies who have successfully honed theirs, Entrepreneur, in partnership with CultureIQ, has released its premier Top Company Cultures list. Based on the results of surveys taken by employees at every level of their organizations, the top-scorers were ranked in their respective size categories.
In the inaugural year, Vanderbloemen Search Group tops the small companies (25 to 49 employees) list, Bounce Exchange leads medium-sized companies (50 to 99), and Elite SEM takes the number-one position among large companies (100+). Ten areas predictive of high-performing cultures were measured: collaboration, agility, communication, support, wellness, work environment, responsibility, performance focus, and mission and value alignment. Notable leaders of companies such as MailChimp and BetterWorks also shared what a high-performance company culture means to them in the online feature.
"Entrepreneurs today understand that in order to excel, they have to dedicate as much focus on company culture as they do their products, customers, or any other aspect of business," says Ray Hennessey, editorial director of Entrepreneur.com. "That's because company culture—whether it's providing constructive feedback or a comfortable workspace—impacts performance, fuels productivity, scales growth and raises brand power."
"There is always an opportunity to learn from each other when running and growing a business, which is why we are excited to honor these companies and share their success in building an effective culture," says CultureIQ founder and CEO Greg Besner. "I find it particularly inspiring to see a wide variety of companies represented in the list, confirming that you can have a strong culture regardless of industry, size, or business maturity."
To be considered for the ranking, the companies must have had at least 25 employees, have been founded before Jan. 1, 2014 and be headquartered in the U.S. There was no cost to participate in the survey. Individual employee responses were anonymous. The results were used to calculate a company's CultureIQ score, a determining factor in the 2015 Top Company Cultures list.
