Entravision Reports Unprecedented Radio Ratings in Southern California During Soccer's World Cup
More than 600,000 Hispanic Adults in Southern California Tuned into Opening World Cup Match on KLYY-FM Jose and KDLD-FM El Gato; 50% of All Hispanic Men Listening to Radio Chose KLYY-FM Jose and KDLD-FM El Gato
SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC) today announced that its radio stations in Southern California generated extraordinary ratings during the opening World Cup match between Mexico and South Africa on June 11, from 7 am to 9 am PDT. In the combined Los Angeles and Riverside markets, KLYY-FM Jose and KDLD-FM El Gato attracted 608,400 persons six years old and older, regardless of language, and more than 309,100 of Hispanic Men 18 to 49 years of age during this single World Cup broadcast, according to Arbitron.
"To have more than 50% of all Hispanic men listening to radio in the Los Angeles-Riverside market tuned into our stations for the first World Cup match is a testament to the strong level of engagement our listeners have towards this tournament," said Jeffery Liberman, President of Entravision's radio division.
