"We are very proud of the outstanding success of El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata and its ranking as the top afternoon drive program in these markets," said Jeffery Liberman, Chief Operating Officer of Entravision. "The program consistently outperforms its competition and has generated an overwhelmingly positive response from our audiences, who welcome its unique blend of news, popular culture, humor and human interest segments. El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata is a top performing radio program on 66 affiliate stations in 49 U.S. Latino markets. The program launched in San Antonio, the 9th largest Latino market according to Nielsen Audio in the United States, on August 25, 2014. The show airs in markets covering 71% of the U.S. Latino population age 12 years and older. The cast, led by the multi-talented Oswaldo Diaz, playing characters including La Chokolata and El Doggie, tackles everything from news and health to love advice, using comedy to entertain listeners through skits and impersonations, engaging with their live audience during each show. As part of Diaz's efforts to create innovative and exciting ways to reach the show's listeners, he piloted "Echando Relajo con Erazno Google Hangout" on August 13, 2014. The first Latin DJ to do so, Diaz chose ten fans to "Hangout with Erazno" and chat on the Google platform during a live broadcast. The show has also been recognized by the City of Las Vegas through the commemoration of November 23rd as Erazno y la Chokolata day, which will be celebrated this year with an exclusive private concert in Las Vegas.
"The addition of El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata to the New York market in early 2014 was a milestone for the show and the launch in San Antonio builds upon that success and highlights the value of Entravision's syndicated content," added Mario Carrera, Chief Revenue Officer of Entravision. "Oswaldo Diaz and his team have attracted a strong following in all of the markets where the show broadcasts, from listeners and advertisers alike. They continue to bring their unique brand of entertainment to markets across the U.S., which strongly positions the program for further success."
