LOS ANGELES, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ENTITY, an experiential media company focused on empowering and educating NextGen women through mentorship, today announced a new round of seed funding, led by Susan Rockefeller. This investment follows a previous round led by private investors. Rockefeller has been serving as an advisor to the company since 2016 when it launched.
ENTITY will deploy this capital to support the continued diversification of revenue streams, including the development of IRL events, building an in-house branded content studio and launching an online educational component of the company's flagship mentorship program.
The brainchild of Founder and CEO of ENTITY, Jennifer Schwab, ENTITY Academy is a seven-week mentorship program focused on equipping Gen Z and millennial women with the skills they need to succeed in today's competitive work environment. ENTITY Academy programming includes digital storytelling (SEO, social packaging, writing / editing, graphic design), leadership skills (resilience, relationship building), and business acumen. Besides being a trusted advisor, Rockefeller is the mother of an ENTITY Academy graduate. Her daughter attended the summer mentorship program in 2017.
Rockefeller's investment follows a strong year of growth for the company which has increased its digital presence to reach over 16 million women per month across platforms (with 4.4 million engagements per month), doubled the size of its summer academy, and begun expanding into IRL events.
"ENTITY is not just a digital media platform but is also an innovation hub for women. It provides mentorship through the ENTITY Academy which also offers a boot camp for developing a competitive advantage in the workplace through digital marketing, and a curation of experiences for women to learn, grow, and become the professionals that the world needs. I believe in leadership with purpose and Jennifer Schwab, founder of ENTITY, is embodying such leadership by creating relevant content and experiences that can scale for the empowerment of women around the world," says Rockefeller.
Under the leadership of Founder and CEO Jennifer Schwab, ENTITY strives to reach NextGen women in a way that no other female-focused company is doing right now – by valuing experiences over impressions and equipping young women with the resources, confidence, and tools they need to succeed.
On July 7th, ENTITY will host its inaugural Love Yourself Summit focused on body positivity, mental health, and gratitude. Speakers include Alyson Stoner (recording artist, actress, and singer), Hunter McGrady (body positive activist and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model), and Emily Hayden (fitness and wellness influencer), as well as vendors, instagrammable experiences, breakout sessions, and confidence coaches all designed around the idea that self-care isn't selfish.
