Entertainment One's Skelanimals Unveils Hot Topic Plans, New Licensees
LOS ANGELES, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Entertainment One Licensing (eOne) is pleased to announce the launch of a new program for its teen brand Skelanimals at Hot Topic, exclusive home of the 2006 retail debut which generated over $27 million in sales over two years.
Legacy licensees Lounge Fly and Toynami have developed new collections of bags, wallets, jewelry, and plush—many featuring newly released character Bonita the Unicorn—to complement fashion apparel and tees from Iron Fist and Goodie Two Sleeves. The collection will roll out the third week of July at Hot Topic.com and select Hot Topic stores nationwide.
"We are thrilled to be debuting the latest Skelanimals collection with our partners at Hot Topic, just before our 10 year anniversary with them in 2016," said Nina Leong, SVP eOne Licensing, Lifestyle.
In addition, the brand has recently signed on Card.com to offer Skelanimals-branded debit cards online, and Nail Pop for nail decals that will be sold at specialty stores.
A series of comedic animated shorts will roll out in July, supported by paid media, and available on YouTube.
