Entertainment Centers in White Are Still Cool, Even After Labor Day

Appetite for White

Of the many colors and finishes offered, white is more popular than any single color this year for entertainment furniture at Contempo Space.

"For entertainment centers, black is a close second best seller. We actually just had a customer order a white wall unit with black glass on the front, so that probably counts as both!" laughs Flax.

Everything Comes in White, Black, Wood, Mirrored…

Not every furniture store reports white and black as their bestselling colors for TV furniture. After hearing Flax explain, it's easy to understand why.

"We make every entertainment center to order. Our customers can point to any piece of furniture in our catalog and say, 'Gary, I like that wall unit… But I'd like it better in black glass with chrome handles.' No problem. At other furniture stores-- Even online—customers might have two or three finish choices… Or none."

Mix and Match

"We call it customizable furniture," declares Flax.

"People can get creative with the furniture. Customers might order white with colored glass or mirrored doors, for example."

Also popular is the range of wood finishes, sometimes with different colors for doors and drawers.
