EnterpriseDB Announces Postgres Vision Early Bird Registration and Call for Papers
Event for enterprise users brings together experts to share experiences, best practices using world's most popular open source database management system
BEDFORD, Mass., April 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- EnterpriseDB announces early bird registration and the call for papers at the fourth annual Postgres Vision event themed, "The Future of Postgres". At this enterprise-focused event from June 24-26 in Boston, attendees will hear about leading implementations from users around the world and gain a deep understanding of the Postgres open source database management system.
Postgres Vision is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect, collaborate and network with Postgres thought leaders from around the globe bringing together IT professionals, developers and supporters. Expert presentations, user case studies and keynotes will offer best practices for taking 'Postgres Everywhere'—on-premises, public and private cloud, and containers. Adoption is growing rapidly among enterprises that are transitioning from traditional commercial databases to Postgres as an alternative that offers the flexibility and benefits of relational databases.
"Postgres adoption in enterprise and government is exploding around the world," said Ed Boyajian, president and CEO of EnterpriseDB. "The hype around newer specialty databases has settled and now we see developers, architects and technology executives tackling their toughest enterprise digital initiatives with Postgres. With an extraordinary and independent community, Postgres just keeps getting better. At Postgres Vision, attendees will have the opportunity to look closely at Postgres' technical chops while hearing from companies and execs who are driving their business transformations using this great database management system."
Early Bird registration is available until April 30 at $199. After that, the full registration fee is $399. Also, there is a full-day, extensive training session available to a limited number of participants about deploying EDB Postgres Containers, which explains how to manage those using Kubernetes to provide highly-available, resilient and scalable Postgres database clusters. The cost for training plus conference is $449.
Also, the call for papers is now open for submissions through April 19 when final selections are made by the event steering committee, which includes Bruce Momjian, co-founder of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group, plus Postgres experts from TD Securities, Isabel Group, Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (U.K.), Microsoft, Carahsoft, OnGres, Palisade Compliance.
