ST. LOUIS, July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Truck Rental has opened its first location in the state of North Dakota. The new branch office, located at 610 Main Avenue West in Fargo, is poised to support the success of area businesses, including the numerous agriculture, oil and gas operations throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
"By providing transportation options that weren't previously available in this region, our new branch office in Fargo is able to serve new regional customers as well as to better serve our existing national accounts," said Kevin Thompson, Group Truck Manager for Enterprise's regional subsidiary that includes Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and parts of Nebraska and Minnesota.
The new Fargo Enterprise Truck Rental location provides access to a wide range of cargo vans, box trucks and tow-capable pickup trucks for both business and personal use. Enterprise is working with local service shops and other area vendors to purchase and maintain the vehicles. The branch operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and is closed on Sunday.
Growth Fueling Employment Opportunities
Enterprise Truck Rental is a service of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which has delivered local transportation solutions to customers for more than 60 years and is an integral part of North America's transportation infrastructure. Enterprise first began renting commercial trucks in 1999 and, a decade later, started offering truck rentals for personal use in response to customer demand. Today, personal use accounts for 20 percent of Enterprise Truck Rental's business.
The opening of the truck rental facility in North Dakota is part of a broader strategy to increase Enterprise Truck Rental's North American presence and better serve customers' transportation needs in new and existing markets. In fact, after opening 40 new locations in 2017, Enterprise Truck Rental is on track to open an additional 40 locations across the U.S. this year.
In addition to offering customers more convenient truck rental locations, the expansion is creating new career opportunities throughout North America. The Fargo truck rental team consists of four full-time employees – one branch manager, two senior account specialists and a part-time service agent.
"This latest opening increases the Enterprise Truck Rental location count to two branches throughout our region. As the business continues to grow, we will hire more employees to help us meet our customers' transportation needs," said Thompson.
Many employees begin their career with Enterprise in the renowned Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training Program, which teaches Management Trainees how to run a business, empower teams, and provide excellent face-to-face customer service.
Enterprise's promote-from-within culture encourages success among employees, allowing them to move up quickly based on their performance and work ethic. And with a breadth of job opportunities and business functions, Enterprise offers employees the opportunity to change careers without changing companies.
