(NASDAQ:ETRM), a developer of minimally invasive medical devices to treat obesity, metabolic diseases and other gastrointestinal disorders, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering. The offering is expected to consist of units comprised of one share of series B convertible preferred stock and one warrant to purchase shares of common stock.
Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE American: LTS), is sole book-running manager in connection with the offering.
EnteroMedics intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to continue its commercialization efforts, for clinical and product development activities and for other working capital and general corporate purposes.
