Enterasys OneFabric Delivers the Widest Range of Integrated Solutions to Enable Enterprise Mobility
OneFabric Connect™ Enables Third Party Ecosystem, Offers New Support for Mobile Enterprise
SALEM, N.H., Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, is delivering OneFabric Connect, a first-of-its-kind offering that enables the unprecedented integration of third-party applications into the OneFabric Control Center for dramatically improved enterprise mobility, zero-effort onboarding and BYOD support. The enhancements include integration with third-party solutions for Mobile Device Management (MDM), next-generation firewall and web filtering, Unified Communication (UC) and infrastructure support – all interoperating in a new, one-of-a-kind ecosystem. With no vendor lock-in, Enterasys customers have the flexibility and choice to integrate third-party tools, applications and legacy network infrastructure via OneFabric Connect, reducing Total Cost of Ownership and eliminating the management of multiple consoles.
OneFabric Connect allows seamless integration with dozens of industry leading partners, including MobileIron, AirWatch and JAMF Casper Software for MDM integration; Avaya and Polycom for UC; and Palo Alto Networks and iboss Security for next-generation firewall and web filtering. Enterasys is actively working to add new partners to this ecosystem.
Key Benefits
- Integrates with MDM to extend zero-effort onboarding to mobile devices for transparent high quality and consistent user experience.
- Consolidates all management and control to a single pane of glass for the highest degree of operational simplicity and automation, offering advanced analytics, visibility and control across multiple applications (i.e. UC, firewall, web filtering, etc.) to provide a better user experience and operational efficiencies.
- Provides centralized visibility and granular control of the enterprise network fabric – both wired and wireless, enabling IT staff to avoid time-consuming configuration tasks, greatly reducing TCO.
Executive Perspectives
Ali Youssef, Wireless Solutions Architect, Henry Ford Health System
"With so many wireless users and medical devices on our network at one time, it can be difficult to manage, track and maintain control. But with OneFabric Control Center and the AirWatch MDM solution, we have full visibility of devices accessing the network which allows us to provide a better experience for our physicians, administrators and patients."
Dr. Geoffrey Alagoda, Director of Information and Communication Services, Christ Church Grammar School
"With OneFabric Connect, we have seamless integration across our virtualization, third-party infrastructure and legacy network equipment, all from a single console. Enterasys was the only vendor able to provide us with this level of simplicity and robust management control, with the ability to implement a best of breed approach to our IT infrastructure."
Brian Newlon, Network Manager, Marietta College
"Enterasys OneFabric Control Center is a great tool not just for securing and managing Enterasys switches and wireless APs but also third-party products such as legacy Cisco switches and Cisco Access Points. The OneFabric Connect solution has helped us reduce the workload of our IT resources by providing a simple and elegant single pane of glass for managing all our Enterasys and third-party devices that are currently deployed in our network."
Paul Martini, CEO, iboss Security
"One of the biggest concerns we hear from IT departments and CIOs is threats to their networks and the impact that has on productivity. There is a heightened demand on enterprise networks and a critical need for increased security, simplicity and resiliency. Our integration with Enterasys OneFabric Connect provides customers with location-based policy enforcement on the network and application layer which provides them more control over their wired and wireless network operations."
Chris Crowell, President and CEO, Enterasys Networks
"We listen to our customers and understand that enterprise mobility is causing network performance, security and management issues for IT. With OneFabric Connect, we are providing a solution that integrates seamlessly with a customer's existing IT applications and infrastructure. This is an example of how we are not only solving customer problems but also providing a more flexible set of options for how they grow their networks in the future."
Craig Mathias, Principal Analyst, Farpoint Group
"Today's multi-vendor IT environments clearly require a degree of operational integration that has been unavailable to this point. Enterasys has taken a big step forward with OneFabric Connect, enabling the implementation of truly integrated IT solutions that are easy to manage, eliminate complexity, redundancy, and opportunities for error, and which are very cost-effective. Integration on demand? It's here."
