Enterasys Networks Receives Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards
Company Recognized for Product Quality in Information Leadership and Next-Generation Leadership Categories
ANDOVER, Mass., April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, today announced it is among the distinguished list of winning recipients of the eighth annual Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards, to be honored at the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, FL, April 29 – May 2, 2012. Enterasys was selected by Manufacturing Executive, the global community for manufacturing leadership and producer of the Manufacturing Leadership Summit and ML100 Awards program. Enterasys' VP of Engineering Operations & Quality Brad Martin received an individual award in the Next-Generation Leadership and Culture category, and the company also received honors in the Information Leadership category.
"We are honored to be recognized in two separate categories by Manufacturing Executive and feel the award is strong validation of our commitment to customers. At Enterasys, we live by our motto 'there is nothing more important than our customers' and our culture of continuous improvement helps us provide the best quality and highest performing product," said Brad Martin, VP of Engineering Operations & Quality, Enterasys. "Our recently implemented quality initiative strengthened processes across the board in order to ensure product quality is a key competitive differentiator for us."
Brad Martin was recognized for implementing a robust process and culture of continuous improvement within Enterasys Networks. Several years ago, Martin convened the first Product Quality Summit where the global quality team was brought together for a strategic planning process. Leveraging the data and momentum from this event, Martin launched a sustained cultural change initiative to instill a continuous improvement mindset and establish product quality as a key competitive advantage at Enterasys.
In order to align business around quality performance, Enterasys implemented a closed loop quality data management system that can provide real-time quality metrics to drive improvement of vendors, processes and products. As a 100 percent outsourced manufacturing operation, the implementation of an enterprise supply network quality system where multiple data sources are integrated and accessible via a cloud-based application was critical in its success. This quality data management system and the processes built around it have provided the Enterasys team with the ability to make predictive and proactive product quality decisions. This has driven record setting product quality metrics and has supported Enterasys' industry leading customer satisfaction levels.
"As a long-time Enterasys customer, we have been continually impressed with Enterasys' commitment to providing the highest quality and most reliable products. Any product concerns or issues are addressed immediately and thoroughly," said Thayer Ramahi, Information Technology Director at Grand Cache Coal. "In a competitive industry, product quality is of the utmost importance as we make purchasing decisions. We have implemented a number of Enterasys products, both wired and wireless, and have always been pleased with our decision to partner with them for important technology initiatives."
