Winners will earn a tuition scholarship toward a culinary program at one of more than 35 participating Art Institutes schools.
Now in its twelfth year, The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition awards nearly $200,000 in tuition scholarships to The Art Institutes schools to high school seniors in the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec) interested in pursuing a career in the culinary industry.
Local Cook-Off Competitions will take place at participating locations of The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes on or about April 30, 2011.
"The Best Teen Chef Competition is an exciting time to see teens with real culinary flair come out and demonstrate their talents," says Chef Michael Nenes, Assistant Vice President of Culinary Arts at The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes.
To be eligible to enter the competition, high school seniors must first submit a completed Entry & Release Form by February 4, 2011 to a participating International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes location where they wish to enter the competition. Additional entry requirements to complete the entry must be submitted to the same Art Institutes school by February 25, 2011.
