Budding Chefs Challenged to Compete for Tuition Scholarships
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Art Institutes offer budding chefs the opportunity to match their skills against others who share their passion – and to earn a tuition scholarship to one of The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes. The deadline for submitting entries into The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition for high school seniors or The Art Institutes Culinary Scholarship Competition for high school graduates is Friday, February 3, 2012.
Entering is easy – simply submit an Entry & Release Form to a participating Art Institutes schools or complete your Entry Form online. To enter The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition for high school seniors online click here. To enter The Art Institutes Culinary Scholarship Competition for high school graduates online click here.
Entrants who have submitted their forms by the deadline then have until February 24, 2012, to submit their completed entries, which include their favorite recipe in standardized format, an essay and a transcript. Selected entrants will progress to Cook-Off Competitions at The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes on April 21, 2012. Each of the 38 Art Institutes schools offering a culinary program will name one first place winner in each category. A second place winner will also be named in the Best Teen Chef category at each participating Art Institutes school. The winners will earn tuition scholarships – $4,000 for the Best Teen Chef first place winner and $1,000 for the Best Teen Chef second place winner, while the first place winner of the high school graduate category will earn a $1,500 tuition scholarship.
