Entry Deadline for The Best Teen Chef and Culinary Scholarship Competitions Is Jan. 24
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Calling aspiring chefs who crave a future in the culinary world! Thursday, Jan. 24, is the deadline to enter The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition for high school seniors or The Art Institutes Culinary Scholarship Competition for high school graduates.

Entering the competition is easy – simply submit an entry/release form, a favorite recipe and an essay, as well as transcripts. All materials must be uploaded to http://www.aicompetitions.com/culinary2013/, where you'll also find the official rules, a list of participating locations and more information. Follow the competition with this hashtag: #AiCompetitions.
Selected finalists will participate in a cook-off competition at each of the 40 participating Art Institutes schools on March 2, 2013, judged by professional chefs and culinary faculty. Entrants selected to participate in the cook-off competition receive recipes in advance and have an opportunity to participate in a pre-competition coaching session.
The first-place winner in the high school senior competition at each participating Art Institutes school will earn a $4,000 tuition scholarship. The second-place winner in the high school competition at each participating Art Institutes school will earn a $1,000 scholarship. The first-place winner in the high school graduate competition at each participating Art Institutes school will earn a $1,500 scholarship.
