TriCaster 8000 systems are augmented by integrating the Ensemble Designs BrightEye NXT Video Router to provide a wider fan-in of sources as inputs to the TriCaster. When a TriCaster system requires more than eight cameras, a BrightEye NXT router can be added to accommodate even more cameras and sources.
"The tight interface between our BrightEye NXT Router and TriCaster makes life really easy for operators who want to use a lot of sources in a show or event," said Mondae Hott, Director of Sales for Ensemble Designs. "Additionally, our router gives TriCaster users the perfect way to bring HDMI sources into the production."
The BrightEye NXT 410 Clean HDMI Router and the BrightEye NXT 430 Clean SDI Router have built-in clean and quiet frame syncs, which provide glitch-free switching, even with asynchronous cameras. The router's front panel LCD display shows full motion video of the sources being routed. The built-in web browser provides remote control and very straightforward configuration of the router.
The BrightEye NXT video routing switcher's BNCs can be configured as inputs or outputs, which lets the user decide how many inputs and outputs the router has. If the production requires an additional camera or source, a BNC can be assigned as an input on the fly.
Michael Kornet, EVP of Business Development at NewTek added, "Ensemble is known for its best-in-class products, and the new BrightEye NXT router with its small footprint and large feature set is a great complement to any TriCaster 8000 system where additional media sources are required. We're thrilled that Ensemble has joined the growing ecosystem of NewTek developers, and believe our customers will have a great workflow experience when using TriCaster 8000 and the BrightEye NXT router to produce large-scale live events."
"Development of the BrightEye NXT Routers was informed by customers asking for an elegant way to use HDMI and SDI signals together," said David Wood, Chief Design Engineer and President at Ensemble Designs. "Integration with TriCaster is a natural progression for the BrightEye NXT series."
The BrightEye NXT 410 Clean HDMI Router has four HDMI inputs; one HDMI output; two dedicated SDI inputs; two dedicated SDI outputs; one flexible SDI port that can be either an input or output; and an SFP (small format pluggable) port that can be fiber or mini BNC, and either inputs or outputs.
"You can see your HDMI and SDI sources on the front of the router," said Cindy Zuelsdorf, Marketing Czar at Ensemble Designs. "That means you don't need an external video monitor to see your sources, making it extremely easy to select sources feeding the TriCaster. It saves money and it's so convenient."
