Enradius Acquires Changeup Marketing
Addition of Frederick-based Marketing Consultancy expands Enradius' territory and services, enhances social media offerings
BALTIMORE, Aug. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Enradius, a Baltimore-based digital agency, today announced the acquisition of Changeup Marketing, a digital marketing consultancy based in Frederick. Enradius provides hyper-local advertising and digital marketing services to clients nationwide. The M&A expands the company's portfolio of services for local businesses with greater emphasis in the Frederick and Washington D.C. areas.
Enradius and Changeup Marketing partnered for a year and a half prior to the announcement. Changeup Marketing's owner Kelly Jarvis is now Chief Revenue Officer at Enradius. The acquisition added two employees and Changeup's existing client base to the Enradius roster. Enradius now has 17 team members and over 100 clients with offices in Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Detroit.
"This was a natural fit for Enradius. Our growing portfolio of clients now have in-house support from Changeup's marketing experts," Enradius' CEO, David Carberry, said. "This acquisition expands our service to clients in the greater Washington, D.C. area, while also enhancing our social media services. Kelly's energy, enthusiasm, and expertise will help us provide in-depth local digital marketing to our growing account base in the Baltimore region and across the country."
Enradius acquired Changeup Marketing as part of a larger growth strategy. The deal will broaden Enradius' services in areas including brand strategy, social and multimedia while giving Changeup clients more access to geo-targeted digital services, listings management, video, and mobile marketing services.
Enradius provides geo-targeted advertising and digital marketing solutions for clients of all sizes. There is a heavy focus on the under-served and often over-charged segment of small and medium sized businesses, non-profits, and institutions.
Enradius, founded in 2014, is on track to grow to 20 people by the end of the year. It hired a half-dozen staff members since moving from the CEO's home office in Ellicott City to a Downtown Partnership initiative space in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, in 2015. Changeup Marketing was founded in October 2016 to provide digital marketing and social media services to small businesses in the under-represented markets of Frederick, Mt. Airy, Damascus and surrounding areas.
The acquisition is Enradius' first. Carberry expects to do more deals in other regions in addition to growing the agency organically. Enradius was named one of the region's fastest-growing companies on the Baltimore Business Journal's "Fast 50" list for 2016.
