ENR California's 'Top 20 Under 40': Three Turner Construction Company Employees Honored

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that three of its employees were recently selected to receive Engineering News-Record California's "Top 20 Under 40" award.  Victor Bullain, Manager of Virtual Design and Construction; Brendan Murphy, Project Executive; and Carmen Vann, Project Executive, are being recognized for their exemplary leadership and efforts to improve their communities. Turner Construction Company was the only construction company with three employees recognized.

ENR California, formerly California Construction News, a McGraw Hill Construction publication, has been distributing this prestigious award since 2004.  The recipients will be featured in the February 2011 edition of ENR California (the inaugural issue).  The annual awards honor "the best of the best" in the construction and engineering industries. They also recognize those who affect change in the communities which they are designing and rebuilding.  

Victor Bullain

Victor Bullain, pioneer and co-founder of the Five Dimensional BIM movement, has contributed to revolutionizing the construction process.  He also teaches at the Turner School of Construction Management for small and minority-owned firms.  Mr. Bullain joined Turner Construction Company in 2009.  An ideal award recipient, Mr. Bullain possesses innovative technological expertise and a determination to educate small companies and minority members of the construction and engineering industries.

Brendan Murphy

Project Executive Brendan Murphy has 23 years of experience in the construction industry.  He is currently responsible for the construction of Bachelor Enlisted Quarters packages 4 and 7 at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, CA, which will house 3,000 marines.  Mr. Murphy was also a clear choice for the "Top 20 Under 40" due to his leadership and efforts to positively affect the communities in which he builds.  

Carmen Vann

Carmen Vann joined Turner Construction Company in 2000, and has over 14 years of construction experience.  Currently, she is the Project Executive for the highly-anticipated, LEED Silver, new San Diego Central Library.  A clear choice for this accolade, Ms. Vann's tenacity and experience in directing sustainable housing projects and educational facilities has demonstrated her desire for a brighter future.
