Energy harvesting enters the next generation
One of the highlights at the EnOcean Alliance booth will be the integratable Dolphin platform. This new system architecture, for the first time, enables the use of not only self-powered but also bidirectional wireless sensors and actuators that can transmit as well as receive information, resulting in more convenience, safety and flexibility in buildings.
Innovative products for green buildings
The EnOcean Alliance (Booth 2027) will host, among others, the following Alliance members demonstrating successful integration of EnOcean battery-less wireless modules into a variety of products:
Verve Living Systems—new occupancy sensor and residential lighting solutions with premium features at cost parity to wired systems
Leviton—new occupancy sensing kit. (Leviton's EnOcean-based products will also be on display at the Leviton corporate Booth 1558)
BSC-Magnum—iPhone and PC-based lighting system management solutions that enable optimization of energy consumption by intelligent control of energy use
Illumra—new photo sensor
Dimonoff—new control solution simplifies retrofit projects by re-using existing electrical wires as an extended control network
Twenty Alliance member companies including Osram-Sylvania, Philips Ledalite, Emerge, Functional Devices, LC&D and other member companies will also present solutions. What all these exhibitors have in common is EnOcean's self-powered wireless technology, which assures interoperability between all available products. The technology allows solutions from different EnOcean Alliance member companies to communicate with one another and to work together in one and the same complex building automation system.
Lighting systems based on battery-less wireless technology are ideal for use in both residential property and commercial buildings. The right luminaires and intelligent lighting control not only enhance personal comfort, but result in significantly lower power consumption. Additionally, battery-less wireless technology sets new standards in planning and room configuration by eliminating the need to re-route or add new cabling for future retrofits. Moreover, EnOcean-enabled devices can be placed wherever most convenient by virtue of their ability to be quickly and easily removed and relocated.
