Enhanced Mobile Features for Dominion Virginia Power Customers Save Time, Energy and Money

RICHMOND, Va., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dominion Virginia Power today completed enhancements on its mobile platform to make it easier for customers to see their account information, pay bills, check energy usage history and more from any mobile device.

"They've told us that they want an easier, more convenient way to do business with Dominion using a smartphone or tablet. We made it more convenient for them to access the information that will save them time, energy and money."
Once customers sign in to their online account, the new "welcome page" goes directly to current account information where they can view, pay or print their bill. Customers are now able to view their energy usage, payment and bill history for the last 18 months. User-friendly prompts guide customers through a variety of transactions and helps new customers register.
Additional benefits to Dominion's online customers include:
- report or check the status of a power outage;
- start, stop, transfer, or reconnect service;
- enroll and manage programs such as a Bank Draft, eBill and Budget Billing;
- make payment arrangements;
- report payments made at authorized payment centers;
- 24/7 secure access to billing information; and
- convenient access to money-saving energy conservation tips.
Customers are encouraged to visit www.dom.com and register their Dominion account online. Customers with a current online profile can use their existing user name and password to enjoy the new benefits. Half of Dominion's 2.5 million customers rely on their online accounts as a convenient way to conduct business on Dominion's secure site; more than 10 million transactions were performed in 2014 alone.
