Engility holds annual "meeting of the minds" trade show for employees

CHANTILLY, Va., March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EGL), an engineering and government services company, today held its annual employee trade show. The industry-unique event showcases people, ideas, and new technologies from around the company.

More than five hundred Engility employees, including systems engineers and experts in aerospace, anti-terrorism and defense, gathered today in the Washington, DC area. They shared and discussed the latest technologies and differentiated capabilities in use across the company's numerous business units. The annual summit began in 2007.

For example, our employees had the opportunity to meet with senior systems engineers supporting the Air Force Global Positioning System, as well as experts building in cybersecurity from the keel-up on the Navy's new Frigate-class ship," said Gay Porter, vice president of Technical Solutions. Engility employees experienced and tested different cutting-edge technologies, including Synthetic Analyst, the company's proprietary artificial intelligence solution. Last year, that solution was successfully adapted for Pentagon customers based on conversations at the employee trade show. We also saw great success in introducing training capability to customers who only knew of Engility's engineering work. This year, several data analytics tools (e.g., MetaSift and Cloud ASCEND) garnered a lot of attention from employees serving customers in complimentary areas like high performance computing, cybersecurity and mission operations.
