EngenderHealth Names New President and CEO
NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- EngenderHealth, a leading global women's health organization, has named Ulla Muller as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Muller is currently the Regional Director, Southern Africa, at Marie Stopes International (MSI), and will assume her new role on March 1, 2016.

"She stands out from a long list of highly qualified candidates and offers extensive global expertise and a demonstrated track record of multisectoral successes, which makes her very well-suited to support EngenderHealth's efforts around the world to expand access to rights-based family planning and reproductive health services."
Ms. Muller currently resides in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and has a demonstrated track record of success at MSI and in her previous senior-level roles at bilateral, multilateral, and civil society organizations. Ms. Muller has advanced degrees in international human rights law and economics and has a background in business administration. She has been an advocate for multidisciplinary approaches, engaging diverse actors and partners in a united effort to expand access to reproductive health services.

During Ms. Muller's tenure at MSI, she directed the development and implementation of key country-level strategies to create support for and deliver increased access to reproductive health services, instituted innovative funding and collaboration with diverse partners, and reinvigorated country collaboration and interregional learning to promote organizational unity and evidence to action. She has contributed to numerous publications in print and online media and is a regular participant in professional, academic, and policy forums.
Pamela W. Barnes, who has been President and CEO since 2010, will be retiring on January 15, 2016. Sara Kriksciun, Vice President, External Relations, has been named Interim President and CEO during the transition.
