Energy Inspectors Sweep EPA Awards
Awarded EPA's Highest Energy Efficiency and Water Conservation Awards in 2014
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy Inspectors Corporation, a leading national Energy Efficiency and Sustainability certification company headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, was awarded the WaterSense Licensed Certification Provider Partner of the Year award for 2014 by the United States Environmental Protection Agency today for its work in saving water and reducing water bills for homeowners living in newly certified EPA WaterSense Homes. The award was presented at the EPA WaterSense & Alliance for Water Efficiency Luncheon held today at the South Point Hotel and Conference Center in Las Vegas, NV. This was the 2nd WaterSense Award presented to Energy Inspectors in the past 3 years.
The WaterSense Awards recognize American companies that are at the forefront of using the latest technologies for saving water, a national resource that is becoming more and more precious. According to the EPA, compared to a typical home, a WaterSense labeled new home can save a family of four 50,000 gallons of water a year or more. That's enough to wash 2,000 loads of laundry and could amount to annual utility bill savings of up to $600 each year.
"Energy Inspectors and our builder partners are continually working to increase water savings for new homeowners, which reduces waste and saves on utility bills. We have expanded our client water savings each year, and we are presently contracted to save over 30,000,000 gallons of water annually, which will mean up to $360,000 in annual cost savings for water for new homeowners in 2015 alone. That's equal to more than 45 Olympic size swimming pools. We are very excited to help our builder partners save precious resources, and are honored to be recognized once again by the EPA for our work in sustainability," said John Gillett, COO, Energy Inspectors Corporation.
Energy Star Partner of the Year 2014
On April 29, 2014 the Environmental Protection Agency also recognized Energy Inspectors Corporation as the national Energy Star Partner of the Year 2014, for the company's work in saving energy. 2014 is the eighth consecutive year Energy Inspectors has been named Energy Star Partner of the Year.
"Energy Inspectors track record is for certifying thousands of Energy Star homes year after year. Your exceptional participation in the ENERGY STAR program is helping to inspire innovative market wide practices and drive considerable technological advances that improve profit margins and protect our environment. Your involvement is invaluable as the EPA moves forward to address climate change in a comprehensive, common-sense way," stated Gina McCarthy, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
The EPA also awarded the ENERGY STAR Certified Homes Market Leader Award to Energy Inspectors for having saved the carbon and energy equivalent of removing 2892 vehicles from the road, planting 11,372 acres of trees, or saving 14.8 Million pounds of Coal. These measures saved homeowners over $2 Million annually in energy bills.
"Your dedication to saving energy, your commitment to measuring and tracking progress, and your efforts to communicate the importance of energy efficiency to a broad audience distinguishes your organization as an industry leader," said Jonathan Passe, Chief of the Energy Star Residential Branch.
"We would like to thank the EPA for recognizing and honoring our company with these prestigious awards and look forward to continuing our efforts to help homeowners, consumers and our environment save precious natural resources," said Galo LeBron, CEO of Energy Inspectors Corporation.
