Energy 1 Receives Patent Application Update - Approval Expected

BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy 1 Corporation ("E1") (OTC: EGOC) is pleased to announce that certain of its emission reduction and fuel efficiency technologies, marketed as the ExhausTek & IonTek, as licensed via its wholly-owned subsidiary of Vortex IP, on Monday received positive response from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (the "USPTO"), and expects approval to be imminent.

"We originally filed the non-provisional application on March 1, 2010," said Raymond T. Brown, Chairman of E1.  "It's been a long time coming, but seeing 14 of 15 claims accepted, with the 15^th under review is a serious and amazing response from the USPTO."

"What may not be generally known about the patent application process is that receiving any more than a couple claims, if any at all, in the first round is highly unusual.  The fact that we received all but one – and we expect to have inclusion of the final claim after revision – speaks to the uniqueness of Mr. Brown's technology," said Dean Steiger, President of Energy 1 Corporation.

"We will be filing our response to claim 15 on or before 17 November 2012, as requested, and anticipate patent approval sometime thereafter," concluded Brown.
