Endangered Species Chocolate Partner Goals are Put into Motion with Largest Company GiveBack
INDIANAPOLIS, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- After a year that saw strong profitability and strong chocolate sales, Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC) is giving its largest 10% partner donation to date. Partners African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and SEEtheWILD will use the funds to directly support conservation goals and launch new programs in the upcoming year.

"We are very pleased to be giving back so much to our partners this year," says Curt Vander Meer CEO of Endangered Species Chocolate. "The GiveBack is the heart of who we are as a company. We hope that this record setting GiveBack will have a lasting impact on the conservation of species and habitats.
AWF plans to use the GiveBack money to preserve one of the last remaining areas of Africa largely untouched by human hands. This remote section of the northeastern Congo region is home to countless plants and animals. Scientific accounts suggest that a new race of chimpanzee resides in this hidden landscape. Embarking on this project will have a major impact on species research and conservation for Africa.
"Partnerships are essential to AWF's ability to carry out conservation actions in a timely and effective manner," says African Wildlife Foundation President Helen Gichohi. "The alliance with our friends and partners at ESC and the impact it will have for conserving Africa's great apes is an outstanding case in point."
With their funds SEEtheWILD plans to launch new services to connect volunteers with hands-on opportunities to protect wildlife. Existing sea turtle programs will be expanded to generate additional income and involve people in actively supporting the conservation of endangered sea turtles. A digital quarterly magazine will also be possible thanks to ESC's GiveBack donation. The new publication, WildHope Magazine, will encourage adventure travel, wildlife conservation and activism.
"The tremendous support of Endangered Species Chocolate will allow SEEtheWILD to dramatically increase our support of community-based wildlife conservation projects around the world through ecotourism, educational programs, and volunteer recruiting," says Brad Nahill Director & Co-Founder SEEtheWILD & SEE Turtles.
Endangered Species Chocolate's 10% GiveBack donations are generated through the sale of premium chocolate. Each chocolate bar purchased sends support to conservation groups that focus on preserving habitats and protecting species.
