LONDON, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity® Monaco 2015, the forum for emerging cleantech and resource efficiency companies, hosted by the London based specialist investment bank Innovator Capital, closed on Friday, 6th March with the Awards Ceremony in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
An independent panel of judges, chaired by His Serene Highness, selected Emefcy as winner of the award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development.

Emefcy is an award-winning wastewater treatment company, pioneering the development and commercialization of disruptive energy-efficient and cost-efficient wastewater treatment and reuse products for decentralized applications. Emefcy's MABR (Membrane Aerated Bio-Reactor) saves 90% energy, in a modular, scalable, quiet & odor-free technology. Emefcy has demo plants up and running with good results and expects initial revenues already in 2015.
Emefcy also has another breakthrough technology, EBR (Electrogenic Bio-Reactor) that generates electricity from wastewater as a microbial fuel cell, which is still in the lab.
