Satellite Industry Leader and Founding Member of O3b Brings Decades of Experience to EMC
MIRAMAR, Fla., Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EMC has appointed John Finney as chief commercial officer (CCO). This appointment is to enhance the company's leadership in delivering the most mission-critical communications services, in the world's most remote locations, and for people and businesses on the move.
"We welcome John's experience and leadership," said Abel Avellan, founder and CEO, EMC. "We are in the most pivotal growth stage our industry has seen. John brings the strategy, deep market understanding and commercial development acumen to help us continue to grow at the same phenomenal rate we have experienced over the last years."
"In my view EMC is now the outright leader in global communications – especially satellite service provision," Finney said. "I am really thrilled to be able to join a great team and be part of the exciting future EMC has ahead. The company delivers the most mission-critical services to the most demanding customers in the most remote locations.
