Embry-Riddle Hosts National Training Aircraft Symposium
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The 2015 National Training Aircraft Symposium (NTAS) will take place Sunday to Tuesday, March 15-17, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach Campus.
Embry-Riddle sponsors the two-day symposium every year to bring together stakeholders who have an interest in furthering the efficiency and effectiveness of pilot training in a formal training, education and academy environment. NTAS explores a major current topic each year, allowing participants to anticipate the emergent needs and challenges in this ever-changing industry.
"We have a great agenda lined up for NTAS 2015," said Dr. Tim Brady, Dean of the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle's Daytona Beach Campus. "We plan to discuss ADS-B readiness, first officer preparations issues and follow up actions regarding pilot recruitment shortages being felt by the regional airlines. In addition, we'll be hosting approximately 10 different training airplanes."
At NTAS, educators who are contemplating upgrades to training equipment enjoy a one-stop-shopping experience. Suppliers gain insights into the needs of the training providers that manifest in the next generation of equipment, while employers will have the opportunity to talk with educators about necessary new-hire competencies.
