EmblemHealth Addresses Consumer Engagement at America's Health Insurance Plans
SVP Jay Sheehy Speaks at National Forum on Health Insurance Exchanges
NEW YORK, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- This week, EmblemHealth Senior Vice President, Product Innovation, Jay Sheehy spoke on engaging consumers at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) in Washington D.C. During the national forum on Health Insurance Exchanges, Mr. Sheehy addressed the current landscape and what carriers must accomplish moving forward to improve the consumer experience.

Several examples of how consumer experiences have been strengthened in the state of New York were highlighted throughout Mr. Sheehy's presentation, including the introduction of New York's 'Essential Plans' to improve affordability for a key targeted segment of the eligible population. In addition to continued work with the state, Mr. Sheehy pointed to increasing the use of technology as a way to further enhance the consumer experience.
