Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain Hosts Interfaith Dialogue Program During Weekly Iftar
WASHINGTON, Aug. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bahrain's Ambassador to the United States, Houda Nonoo, hosted an interfaith discussion yesterday during an Iftar held at Bahrain's embassy in Washington, D.C.
"Bahrain is a multicultural, multiethnic, multi-religious society," Ambassador Nonoo said. "During the Holy Month of Ramadan, we at the Bahraini Embassy seek to promote inclusive religious dialogue that celebrates our common beliefs and commitment to one another."
Participants in the dialogue included Rev. Clark Lobenstine – Executive Director of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington; Imam Yahya Hendi – Founder and President, Clergy Beyond Borders; and Rabbi Gerald Serotta – Executive Director, Clergy Beyond Borders.
