CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With 150 to 200 consignments expected for Dan Kruse Classics' second auction of 2017 (and their second with Speed Digital) on Saturday, May 27, the event will attract a lot of attention.
While the volume of vehicles slated to go up on the block at the Horseshoe in Midland, Texas, is nice, it's the quality and value of the cars that have car collectors buzzing with anticipation.
Two collections – the Flat 12 Gallery and Gene Plunk Collections – will bring a lot of interested bidders to the table.
The 16 vehicles in the Flat 12 Gallery Collection are being offered without reserve, and 10 of them have appeared on either the big or small screen. They include a 1950's Zundapp Motorcycle from "Madmen," the 1965 Jeep Tuxedo Parks Edition from "Tickle Me" starring Elvis Presley, a 2005 SuckerPunch Sally Motorcycle from "Sons of Anarchy" and many other vehicles of note.
Flat 12 Gallery rarely sells cars at auction without a reserve; therefore, it's a special occasion that they're allowing these cars to go up with no reserve.
"Midland has been one of our best auctions so Jeff (Allen, owner of Flat 12 Gallery) chose it to make this offering," stated Tiffany Kruse, auction coordinator for Dan Kruse Classics.
The Gene Plunk Collection includes 10 cars ranging from a 1941 Willys ProStreet to a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible and a 1934 Ford Custom Coupe to a 1952 MG TD Roadster. Unlike the Flat 12 Gallery Collection, the vehicles in the Gene Plunk Collection will all carry a reserve.
Gene Plunk has worked in the oil industry in the Midland area for years and was influential in bringing Dan Kruse Classics to the area.
