MAINZ-KASTEL, Germany and KORTRIJK, Belgium, April, 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Elster EnergyICT announced the launch of Enacto, a new action orientated approach to energy monitoring and management. With Enacto, organisations are delivered truly actionable energy intelligence that enables all staff across commercial and retail businesses to take control of energy management thus maximising and maintaining their current energy savings.

Enacto has been designed with the energy manager in mind. It guides and assists in swiftly detecting and analysing energy waste and suggests corrective actions reducing the loss of achieved savings. Enacto also supports accessing energy data from anywhere at any time, empowering staff to become the energy manager at their own site or store.
Enacto allows staff to track and benchmark the energy performance of their site against multiple locations in their region. A wide selection of benchmark criteria is available including comparison of similar-sized locations, or comparing performance against previous years. The energy manager can also compare energy efficiency against multiple normalisation parameters such as the store size or outside temperature. Factoring out the impact of such as unusual weather can enable an accurate view of energy efficiency savings.
Spencer Rigler, Vice President Energy Management for Elster EnergyICT, said, "Site and store managers now have a quick and easy way of seeing how energy efficient their site is and what they need to do to improve or sustain efficiency and ultimately save money. It's helpful having information on energy efficiency, but what is much more powerful is knowing what action needs to be performed to improve the energy efficiency."
Enacto provides instant access to real time data for local store managers, or any member of staff needing visibility of energy consumption. This allows immediate assessment of store, department or asset efficiency and validate where improvements can be made to save energy and money.
Elster EnergyICT's Actionable Energy Intelligence solution features a near real-time dashboard that consolidates information from building management and asset control systems. Providing valuable insights into energy usage, allowing the user to quickly determine the reason for a change in their energy consumption from refrigeration to lighting control, Enacto can immediately translate this information into how much it has cost the business.
Enacto has the ability to identify a defect and if maintenance is required, for example if a freezer's energy consumption has gone up due to an electrical fault, Enacto can reveal important insights into asset lifecycle as well as giving visibility to energy efficiency.
"This action orientated energy intelligence platform enables a wide range of commercial companies to have a direct impact on their energy cost and engage their staff and employees in managing that cost," said Rigler.
Enacto will be demonstrated at NEMEX energyLive 2013 in Birmingham from April 16th – 18th. Visitors can learn more about the solution at booth #K1.
