Elster American Meter will officially launch its 175th anniversary celebration at the 2011 American Gas Association (AGA) Operations Conference and Biennial Exhibition in Nashville, TN on May 24, 2011.
Founded in 1836 in New York City, Elster American Meter has established standards for gas metering technology, with a focus on quality, performance and safety. The company is a recognized metering solutions leader in the gas industry. Elster American Meter will host a celebration to highlight its success and acknowledge the continual support of its customers and the industry. The event, which will also celebrate the achievements of company founder Samuel Down, will take place on May 25 at the conference.
To capture the long, rich history of Elster American Meter, Elster commissioned nationally renowned artist Lawrence Romorini to create a commemorative 3D art piece, which will be unveiled at the AGA conference on May 24 and will reside at Elster's American Meter facility in Nebraska City, NE.
The planned commemoration will span 2011, including industry sponsorships to showcase the history of Elster American Meter at events and tradeshows. In addition, the celebration will strengthen the culture of Elster American Meter throughout the Elster organization with employee recognition programs and local events.
