Elsevier Announces the International Conference on Cocoa, Coffee & Tea

CoCoTea 2015 will be held 22-24 June at the University of Aveiro, Portugal

The conference will take place 22-24 June at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. It offers an interdisciplinary podium for discussion among scientists dealing with these products from the perspective of, among others, the fields of chemistry, technology, metabolomics, nutraceutics, and health.

The conference will be chaired by Professor Manuel Coimbra, Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, where he teaches biochemistry and food chemistry and is Editor for the journal Carbohydrate Polymers. Keynote speaker at the conference will be Paula Varela, Senior Researcher at NOFIMA Norway, one of the largest institutes for applied research within the fields of fisheries, aquaculture and food research in Europe. Her lecture will be about the intricacies of sensory perception from a consumer perspective, with examples related to coffee, tea and chocolate.
